Lately it seems like many of my sentences start with finally. Well, at least I kind of feel like i’m catching up, doing and trying things, that I’ve been wanting to do for quite a while. Things like printing by hand – ever since I bought this book.

I found these cute little cotton bags a while back and made a simple stencil last week, inspired by the rainy weather outside – funny enough the day after I made the stencil it was really nice and sunny. I thought the bags would be cute to put some little treasures inside and surprise a friend. I also put a couple in my shop

I really like sun and clouds – I wish I had one of these.
What’s your favorite weather?

First of all as a booklover and crafter I have to say that I love this type of binding where the book has a hardcover with spine and a “hidden” ringbinding inside: It looks beautiful and is practical as it stays open.

After the detailed “Getting ready to print” guide Lena Corwin explains the techniques of Stamping, Stenciling and Screen Printing each in a separate chapter with lots of tipps and inspiring examples.

She also covers all the materials and tools needed for printing.

The instructions are visualized with great step by step photos.

And the patterns and designs shown in the book are included in an envelope in the back of the book.

Can’t wait to get started!
