I’ve been really busy lately cutting, folding and gluing lots of pockets for my memo pockets, which is actually the thing I like least about making them. But now I have about 60 single pockets ready and I can enjoy the fun part – choosing paper for the covers, creating the covers and – best of all – putting everything together.
These are the first two I finished and I will be adding them to my etsy shop soon:

I must admit I never really liked the color orange nor did I had a thing for pink, but a few years ago I found these crazy orange and pink colored sneakers and I couldn’t resist this strange combination. I think I wore them for about 2 years uninterruptedly until they fell apart. So when I saw this paper I had to think about them and I couldn’t resist either. I’m also making a little blank book to correspond, so I might add them as a set.

In contrast I created this very natural uni colored memo pocket in light beige book linen.

I’m still looking around for more yellow prints for my yellow wall project and I’ve discovered some really nice ones.

Goblin Market by heidiburton.

And I already ordered this cool print by inkdesigner.

I really love this Let’s go camping print by ashleyg, but I already have one print by ashleyg, so I’m afraid this one will have to wait.
If you have any recommendations let me know.

So here’s the third and (for now) last post about the beautiful things I recently found in my mail. This gorgeous Blackbird fabric pin by Etsy seller inmybackyard flew all the way from New Zealand. It’s my favorite and I found a sunny spot for it on my jacket.

Those cute little owl beads I got from Atomic Veggie, they’re great for jewelry (check out the cute owl earrings by Etsy seller secretjewellz) – I actually used a white owl for one of my memo pockets.

Besides that I’ve started collecting yellow art prints for my “sunny yellow wall” in my new office. I’m planning to cover the whole wall with yellow art in all kinds of different black frames. So far, I got…

When I found out about etsy my first idea was selling there and it acutally took a while until i started buying things (shame on me ;-). But now I really have to admit that it’s getting addictive. I just bought a couple of pendants by imogen which I had in favorites for ages. I also bought several more things in the last weeks, but I’ll post those later.

A couple of years ago I got a moleskine memo pockets and I just love it to organize all the little notes and papers, stamps and business cards that usually lie around on my desk. As I wrote in my first post, I always collected beautiful blank books, which I never used because I wanted to keep it for some special occassion or purpose. So in difference to that, I love the memo pockets because I could start using it right away and I could take everything out anytime and put other things inside as often as I want.
So a few months ago I started to make my own memo pockets and I bound them in all my favorite patterned papers and fabrics. I just added the first series to my etsy shop a couple of days ago.
