We started the new year in the Netherlands and also had a wonderful (but much too short) afternoon in Amsterdam. On Reestraat I found a lovely little stationary shop called Cortina Paper with a nice selection of fine papers ideal for bookbinding – mostly italian Carta Varese and my favorite german “Buntpapiere” from Bindewerk.

Oh, all that gorgeous paper!
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Can you believe I had never heared of that shop and I live in the Netherlands. Now I really desperately need my partner to drive me to Amsterdam this weekend :P
@Liesan Oh how far is it for you? I bet you know many other wonderful shops – it’s such an amazing city.
I visited a view more shops – though not as paper-related – that I hope to blog about soon too.
Well it’s less than half an hour drive 45 minutes per train :)
My favorite shop is http://www.papier-royaal.nl I think they have even more than the Amsterdam store and also lots of bookbinding supplies. They also are very fast when ordering online.
Oh that’s really not too far away. Thanks so much for the tip. I better not look too closely at their online shop ;)
In comparison Cortina paper really “just” has the decorative papers downstairs and cards & journals, but not the usual bookbinding supplies.
