A few weeks ago I bought two awesome butterfly paper punches in different sizes.
So far I made some decoration by sewing the small butteflies together:

And I used some butterflies to decorate these two handbound journals

Very clever! How do you stick them on the journal? Just regular white glue? Do you put anything over the top?
Thanx! I used bookbinding glue to stick the butterflies on the journal so the bonding is very strong.
Anything over the top? I’ve been thinking of doing something similar, but the few trial bits I’ve done, the edges seem to wear really fast — one collaging friend I have says she puts matte medium over the top of things like that, and I’m not sure how well that would work!
I love those first three butterflies! So colourful and fun!
Hmmm, so much beautiful stuff. I admire your bookbinding goods. They looks amazing. And these little butterflys – so cute. I love butterflys.
The one punch looks like Martha Stewart. Can you tell me where the other one is from? So beautiful!
Thanx everyone for your comments and sorry for the long pause here on the blog!
@DangAndBlast! I didn’t put anything on top. Have you had another try with bookbinding glue? It’s very strong, so you shouldn’t have trouble with the edges.
@Airlia et al I got them both at ebay, they’re from “eurohobby” and the shapes are identical – just different sizes.
Very cute!! :)))
